Chef’s Notes
- You can pick whatever filling you would like for the dumplings, including other fillings not listed!
- This recipe uses frozen dumpling wrappers; if you choose to make homemade wrappers, it will take around 2.5 hours to prepare. The frozen wrappers will need a few hours to thaw as well.
- The Chinese name for dumplings is called Jiaozi, which has a history of more than 1,800 years. It is a traditional dish eaten on Chinese New Year's Eve, and at special family reunions. Extended family members may gather together to make Jiaozi. After boiling them, Jiaozi are commonly eaten with a dipping sauce made of vinegar. Some people will add chili oil too.
